Why does 2010 acura tsx (inline 4 cylinder) have dual exhausts? are they both functional?

I always thought that if the engine is V-6, then the car has dual exhaust on each side to distribute 3 cylinders on either side. Why does a 4 cylinder Acura TSX have dual exhaust's on either side? are they both functional ?|||Its to give a car a more sporty look. and yes they both are functional. so dont try to stick anything, like a potato, in either one of them. :)|||It's not a true dual exhaust. If you look under the car, you'll see they just split the exhaust at the end. And both engines do not need dual. They just do this for looks.

If you look under the TSX in this pic, you can see what looks like two exhaust pipes splitting from one single pipe. It's only dual at the end of the car for a "sportier look".|||Im sure they are all they have to do is have a dual out muffler to put dual out the back of the car.|||Honda likes symmetry even if it's retarded.|||it probably just splits into a dual|||for the looks..

single exhaust that split up is all
